Establishment of Rules for AI Utilization
Mercari Group has established the “Mercari Group AI Usage Policy” based on various AI-related principles, laws, and guidelines,etc.(*) To further specify this policy, we have defined and operated internal rules such as Generative AI Usage Guidelines and AI Security Guidelines,etc.

Risk Assessment and Processes for AI Utilization
- Mercari Group has established a one-stop consultation desk to receive inquiries regarding AI utilization from various departments at any time. The AI Governance Department acts as an internal hub, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure a system capable of responding to inquiries received through this desk quickly and efficiently.
- The AI Governance Department regularly conducts interviews with each department regarding the status of AI utilization and performs risk assessments. We also conduct AI risk assessments as needed throughout the product development process and propose risk control measures to each department as necessary.
