After graduating from Waseda University, Shintaro Yamada established Unoh Inc., where he launched various internet services including "Movie Life," "Photozou," and "Machitsuku!". In 2010, he sold Unoh to Zynga. After leaving Zynga in 2012, he went on a trip around the world. In February 2013, he established Mercari, Inc. He also established the YAMADA Shintaro D&I Foundation in July 2021.
Fumiaki Koizumi

After graduating from Waseda University, Fumiaki Koizumi joined Daiwa Securities SMBC, where he managed the IPOs of IT companies including mixi, Inc. and DeNA Co., Ltd. In 2006, he joined mixi, Inc. as Director, Executive Officer, and CFO, and supervised the Corporate Division. After leaving mixi in 2012, Koizumi supported a number of startup companies. In December 2013, he joined Mercari, Inc., where he assumed the role of Director in March 2014. He was appointed as President & COO in April 2017.

After graduating from Keio University, she joined the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (currently Shinsei Bank). She received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.A in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University, to later work as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Later, she worked for Novartis and Nestlé to create and execute their business plans, build their internal management system, and lead the PMI. She joined Hobonichi in 2008, and contributed to their IPO as CFO, Director & Manager-Administration. She left the company in 2018 to recharge, and joined YeLL’s Board of Directors in March 2020. She is also a member of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s Study Group Toward Achieving Human Capital Management.

After graduating from Kyoto University’s Faculty of Engineering, Norio Murakami joined Hitachi Denshi, Ltd. He was appointed VP of Marketing for Digital Equipment Corporation Japan in 1991 and later went on to act as representative director at several companies serving as the base of operations for US tech companies in Japan. After joining Google in 2003 as a Vice President for Google, Inc. and President & Representative Director of Google Japan, Inc., he became head of operations for Google in Japan, going on to be appointed Honorary Chairman in 2009. He is currently serving as an outside director for V Cube, Inc. and CellSource Co., Ltd., as well as head of AI Oita Technology Center and director of the Institute for HyperNetwork Society.

Masayuki Watanabe

After graduating from Kyoto University, Masayuki Watanabe joined McKinsey & Company, Inc. He was later involved in the founding of DeNA Co., Ltd. in 1999. After working on business strategy, marketing, and new business development, he left the company in 2010. He traveled to the UK alone, founding the educational service Quipper Ltd. in London. As CEO of Quipper, he saw his company come to offer educational services in countries around the world, including Japan, the US, and other locations in Asia. He sold Quipper to Recruit Co., Ltd. in 2015. In 2019, he co-founded FOODCODE, Ltd. and was appointed Director for the company. Since that time, he has served as Outside Director for numerous startups.
