Notice Regarding Change in Management Structure

Mercari, Inc. (“Mercari”) announces that Jeff LeBeau, Vice President of Growth at Mercari, Inc. (US), will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer of Group company Mercari, Inc. (US), effective July 1, 2026. 

Shintaro Yamada will continue to lead the growth of the entire Mercari Group as Representative Executive Officer and CEO of Mercari.

Since joining Mercari, Inc. (US) in 2017, Jeff LeBeau has led the growth of the Mercari Group in both Japan and the US across product and business, including serving as CEO of Mercari from 2022 and transferring back to Mercari, Inc. (US) in 2024 to take on the role of Vice President of Growth. Under the new management structure, Mercari will further accelerate decision-making and business execution, continuously adapt to environmental changes brought about by advances in AI, and aim to achieve further growth in its US business.

Jeff LeBeau
After working with venture and mega-venture companies, Jeff joined Mercari, Inc. (US) as Business Operations Manager in June 2017. He transferred to Mercari the following year, where he worked on developing data-driven business strategies. He was appointed Vice President of Analytics in 2020, and in 2021, was appointed Vice President, Chief Product Officer (Mercari), a position he held concurrently with that of Vice President of Analytics. He served as Chief Executive Officer (Mercari) from January 2022, before transferring back to Mercari, Inc. (US) in July 2024. Since January 2025, he has held the position of Vice President of Growth, Mercari, Inc. (US).
